Sweet and Citrussy Slingsby Marmalade Gin
Our range of Slingsby gin covers a variety of flavours and palates to suit all gin drinkers, but something that each one of our gins has in common is a strong connection to Yorkshire. That is no different when it comes to our Marmalade gin.
Slingsby Marmalade was born in 2019 and was made to celebrate our 4th birthday. Fast forward two years and it’s now listed in Waitrose across the country and has received an incredible TEN awards including top honours at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. It’s become a firm favourite among our customers sparking debate as to whether Slingsby Rhubarb or Marmalade is the best… and well, the jury’s still out on that one!
Using Yorkshire produce was really important to us when developing new gin flavours which is why we worked closely with Bracken Hill Farm in York to help us create a delicious tangy tangerine Yorkshire marmalade preserve to go into creating this gin. As this gin has our London Dry gin at the roots of its production, it features locally sourced botanicals and water drawn from the world-famous Harrogate aquifer.
One of our favourite things about Slingsby Marmalade is the bright orange citrus and tangerine flavour. Marmalade has a reputation for being quite bitter, but the tangerine flavours create a delicate sweet profile.
For us, nothing beats a G&T made up of Slingsby Marmalade gin and Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic with an orange wedge. That’s why we’ve added this signature serve to our new canned Slingsby Solo range – perfect for the upcoming picnic and staycation season.
