Anyone for a gin?
You may know that our story begins in the North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate, and that’s where we also have our Spirit of Harrogate store. It’s located on Montpellier Parade just around the corner from the world-famous Bettys Tea Room and it’s so much more than just a store.
Of course, we sell our award-winning gin range from our store but we also run two gin experiences from there (Spirit of Gin and Master Distiller) where people can come and learn all about the amazing history of gin, sample all kinds of this wonderful spirit but also make a bottle of their own to take home. We also encourage everyone that comes into the store to sample our selection of gins. We do this by having our existing range available with their suggested mixer but one of the highlights of the store is the kilner jars.
The kilner jars include all of our current development gin recipes. We always ask people to try from this station to help us gather customer feedback and see which of these delicious gins you enjoy the most and we can potentially release next. Our multi-award-winning and firm favourite Slingsby Rhubarb gin started its journey as one of our development gins and everyone loved it so much that we added it to our permanent gin collection and never looked back! Not forgetting our amazing Marmalade and Gooseberry gins were once in these jars too!
All of the gins in our current kilner jars are made with a mixture of the finest ingredients, most of which are grown in Yorkshire, including Strawberry, Blueberry and Cherry Blossom. Some of them are big hits and if you are ever in Harrogate, we would love it if you could drop in and pay us a visit and play a part in the future of Slingsby gin.
